Fan Reaction to Star Wars the Last Jedi
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit cinemas four days ago, and theatres around the world have been jam-packed ever since. Grossing a mammoth $450m globally in its initiatory weekend, the second film in the new trilogy was only familiar by one other in chronicle – its prequel, The Force Awakens , and that was only by $8m.
IT did well with the critics too, with most claiming director Rian Johnson whole bullseyes the womp rat:

#StarWarsTheLastJedi is all-classic in feeling: dangerous undertaking, big hearts, hope. But @rianjohnson added a little something other that I really fell in have sex with. A trifle extra richness, visually and emotionally. I'm so joyful!

When I interviewed everyone for #TheLastJedi they described the script as "unexpected". This was NOT an understatement. I'm a wreck! Hellhole of an emotional rollercoaster. Hell of a film. For details you'll have to wait for tomorrow's review. pic.twitter.com/TU06H6VUK4

Even so, as often happens, umteen fans are not happening the same page as the critics. In point of fact, The Last Jedi could end up being the first Champion Wars film to be loved by experts and hated by movie-goers.
We knew something was up equally earliest as Exhibit, when Mark Hamill toldDressing table Fair he "jolly such fundamentally disagreed with all decision" Rian Johnson made for Luke Skywalker's travel. Hamill is the saga's biggest advocate – his enthusiasm is boundless and his knowledge is unrivalled. If he disagreed with the focus of The Unlikely Jedi then some fans were going to be umbrageous. As expected, they were. Here are much of the angriest sci-fi geeks connected the Internet:
#TheLastJedi Is sportsmanlike a terrible movie that absolutely ruins 30 years of cinema lore, how this movie was passed and made is exactly beyond me, cash cow only and goodbye to all that ready-made #Starwars great.

Power saw 'The Last Jedi last night.' I kind of feel equivalent I'm in bereavement at present. Not for any of the characters, but for Maven Wars itself. Numb. Gutted. I think it's all ended. #StarWars #TheLastJedi

Some detested it so much that they started a Chitter hashtag – #NotMyStarWars
Wow. Why would Rian Johnson tackle fashioning Star Wars movies when he clearly hates Lucas and Abrams' stories? That was just awful. Marvel how practically money Walt Disney fed the critics to have them praise the movie. #TheLastJedi, #notmyStarWars

I'm still confused atomic number 3 to why @Disney would approve of this garbage. The whole movie is barely bizarre. There is dead no story patterned advance. The next movie will throw nothing to build on. #LastJedi #NotMyStarWars #BoycottTheLastJedi

Just others fought binding, claiming haters weren't able to adjust to a new and exciting direction:

Star Wars fans: "We hate The Force Awakens. It's likewise standardized to Episode IV"
Too Star Wars fans: "We hatred The Last Jedi. Information technology's likewise different from other Star Wars movies."
Me: *literally slams capitulum into a rampart*#TheLastJedi #StarWars

We're very untold in the latter campy. NME's Olly Richards same in his inspection: "TLJblasts the rule book to pieces, sending the Skywalker saga in unexpected directions. There are many, many moments that will leave you satisfactory or weeping, possibly both at once."
However, Starring Wars is the most loved franchise in the world and fans were forever going to be picky. Just there is peerless universally-loved addition to the galaxy that everyone agrees on – Porgs, lovely, lovely Porgs. At to the lowest degree that's something we can entirely get behind? #PorgsForPresident
